Starbreakers 3 Lives

Hey, all you wacky snakepunks! Some crazy guy said I’d be firing you an end-of-the-month update- little does he know that I’m lazy and stupid! Still, needs must, and it seems only fair to try to hew to a schedule like I said I was gonna do.

So what’s new, or rather, what was new in January of (your) 2026? Well, you might not have noticed if you weren’t paying attention, but we did finally drop our first chunk of Starbreakers 3 onto the site! We pick up right where we left off in Starbreakers 2- with Ghiscard reactivated and the assault on the Starbreaker underway! Don’t miss a trick on this one, gang. Our first chunk here is about 20 pages for you to go and enjoy, so get out there and enjoy it already!

We did run this one by a few of the local data-jammers and bit jockeys before the broad release, so I know that the first couple of pages (the foreword) are hard on the eyes. Don’t worry, I’ll pick a new font and touch up the spacing so that it goes down easier. I’m still thinking with my print brain so things that look OK when they’re out on a page don’t quite land the same on the screen. I also got some actionable feedback about the landing pages (more images, bigger covers!) so we’ll try to make that happen too. Bear with us till the next update! Everything’s a work in progress all the time, but I keep working towards it being better.

And that next update’s a-coming down the pipe, but so are other things! I can do more than one thing! Why, here comes one thing now!

OK, admittedly that’s the same thing as before, that’s Starbreakers 3. The ‘new stuff’ I’ve got in the pipe is still just on paper, not fed on into the Flyknife Comics system yet. It’s just a quickie, a few pages, nothing major- sticking close to my ‘shorter comics, done faster, more often’ ethos of 2026- but it’ll introduce some of the wacky characters who’ve been bumbling around outside of the Jockeys’ adventures in Kobra Stallion and Starbreakers. The battle for Ghiscard is a big deal but Jet Generation is gonna bring you the battle of Earth, and who knows what comes after that? Gunsmoke and Leningrad are gonna need a whole lot more friends if they’re gonna get through this!

So, what can you expect in the coming months? Well, at the end of February, expect another addition to the Character Index for audience favourites Fractal Fatale, Darkshark Murderstar, and Claudia Kildaire, and for a blog post, you can look forward to a deep dive on Kitty Kissbang, one of the all-new characters from Wildheart Acceleration Unlimited! And when March rolls around (your calendar, not mine), we should have another Starbreakers 3 chunk ready to go. It’s gonna be a crazy year, Snakepunks- count on it! And until next time-
